RIGBY

Standard
Take me back in time a week
And leave me where I land
Keep me ‘way from awful-town
And awful-folk and awful-acts
And still the moon be bright.
Let’s not see it happen, for
Perhaps the tree don’t fall
Keep the news away from me
The telly-news, the paper-news
And keep the moon as bright.

Blind me as it happens, so
The tree don’t make a sound
Keep myself away from me
The jaded-self, the selfish-self
And keep the moon as bright.

Take him back in time a week
And leave him locked indoors
Keep him far away from them
The evil-them, the wielding-them
And keep the moon as bright.

Take them back in time a week
And leave them where they land
Keep them far away from man
Those yellow-men, not fellow-men
And see: the moon so bright.
